Nent Hall is the perfect place for a relaxing break this Christmas. Nestling in the Nent Valley, we offer stunning scenery, a peaceful environment, traditional atmosphere and excellent food. The perfect place to get away for a festive retreat.

We have eighteen en-suite bedrooms, with a variety of types to choose from, including luxury four-poster rooms with king size mahogony four-poster beds and large comfortable sofas and our luxurious 5 room Tower Suite for those special occasions. We also cater for families with our East Wing containing family rooms which sleep up to five. Most of the rooms benefit from having their own unique view of the hotel grounds, River Nent and surrounding valley. Colour televisions, telephones and tea & coffee facilities are also provided in all rooms. Guests benefit from free local & national telephone calls and free internet access during their stay at Nent Hall. Our extensive car park is well lit at night and covered by CCTV.

The Hall was originally built in 1738 by a local mine owner. However, as well as mining lead he also had the good fortune of striking silver! The house gained its Italian style facade in 1858, after the mine owner's daughter employed an eminent architect of the time, renowned for his love of Italian design. The house has been extended many times during its life, the ten bedroom East Wing being the latest addition. Most recently Nent Hall has undergone an extensive two year, million pound refurbishment to attain the high standards which you will see to day. The refurbishment included all of the bedrooms, guest areas, bar and grounds, turning Nent Hall into the classic country house you see today.

Arrival on Christmas Eve

Enjoy a Glass of Mulled Wine or Cognac and mince pies on arrival.

Then relax in one of our lounges, by a roaring log fire. or maybe take in some winter scenery on a short walk before enjoying a four course table d’hote evening meal in the restaurant.

Christmas Day

Awake and join us for a Champagne Breakfast.

Help yourself from the continental breakfast buffet, and then choose from: Hearty Full English breakfast, Smoked salmon & Scrambled Eggs, Kippers, or Poached Haddock & Eggs. Served with Champagne or Bucks Fizz.

Then take some time to enjoy the Hotels peaceful atmosphere, maybe a board game, or two, a relaxing walk along the river Nent, or simply recline before enjoying a six course Christmas Dinner with wine included.

Boxing Day

No need to rise too early on Boxing Day as you are invited to join us for a Buffet brunch which will be served at 11am. Followed by a later check out at 2pm.

Extend Your Stay

Should you wish to stay one more night we offer a special rate of £49.50 pppn for any room, half board, including a traditional Boxing Day evening meal of selected hand carved joints, home made bread, chutneys, pickles and cheese.
